In 2013, the 2nd Annual Angel Cheer Championship raised $30,000 for Elly's Angels, Breanna Raisor, and one other local family.
BELIEVE IN BREANNA

On October 31, 2012 7-year-old Breanna Raisor, a competitive cheerleader and dancer, was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma, a rare condition that causes recurring benign tumors to grow on the brain stem and pituitary gland. These types of tumors press on the parts of the brain that affect vision, growth, and hormone function. Breanna underwent her first surgery to remove as much as possible of this tumor on 10/31/2012, with hopes to recover her sight that she unexpectedly lost due to the size, location, and damage already caused by the tumor. Sadly, as a result of the tumor pressing on her optic nerves in her brain, Breanna’s vision was not able to be restored and she has been deemed legally blind. This rare disease has also caused hormonal shortages that she must take medication daily to allow her little 7 year old body function properly. One of the hormonal imbalances is Adrenal Insignificancy, a critical condition causing her to be steroid dependent. Breanna faces a life time of MRI’s to monitory the growth of her tumor and at any given point she will need more brain surgery to remove the new growth. Breanna will be going to Boston Children’s for a second Brain surgery 2/26/2012 to remove two tumor sights in her 3/4 ventricular area.
Before her diagnosis in October 2012, Breanna was a cheerleader, dancer, excellent student, loved to read, and spent her time at home doing anything art related. Kaylee, Breanna’s 4 year old sister, looks to her with admiration and strives to be like her. Breanna has shown her little sister her strength and has instilled a life lesson for both of them to follow “there is nothing that they cannot overcome!” Breanna is a magnificent role model and a great example for not only Kaylee but for the entire world! Although her life will be full of struggling obstacles; Breanna continues to make astonishing leaps towards adapting to her new life style and has accomplished unimaginable feats! She continues to amaze her family and friends on a daily basis! She is a true inspiration to us all!
